Our Teachers

Ms. Linda Manach

Ms. Linda Manach is a graduate of Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. She began her career at Aquinas Academy in 1983, when the school was known as Saint Philomena School. During that year she served as the French Teacher for the elementary school students. In 1984, she joined the preschool as head teacher of the full day three year old class.

In 1997, she received “The Teacher of the Year Recognition Award” presented by the Archdiocese of Newark. In 1999, she assumed the additional responsibility of Assistant Director of the Early Childhood Center. In 2005, Ms. Manach was selected for inclusion in “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.” During her years at Aquinas Academy, Ms. Manach has provided a solid school foundation for hundreds of young children.

In addition, Ms. Manach has presented early childhood workshops for educators throughout the Archdiocese and has been a guest speaker and presenter at the college level. In 2016, Ms. Manach moved from head teacher of the full day three year old class to head teacher of the four year old students.   


Carol Sofie

Mrs. Carol Sofie is a graduate of Kean University in Union, New Jersey, where she majored in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.  She has dual certification in both Preschool/Nursery and Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.  Mrs. Sofie has been a member of the Aquinas Academy preschool staff since 1983.

She has had the opportunity to work in all of the various preschool classes - both full and half day.  In addition, Mrs. Sofie has moderated the Aquinas Academy Kindergarten afterschool program for several years, as well as serving as a head teacher in the preschool’s summer camp.  She is also actively involved in the Aquinas Academy After School Program for grades one through eight.

Currently, Mrs. Sofie is the head teacher of the extended half day differentiated instruction program for three- and four-year-olds at the preschool. She has had a love for children and realized she wanted to be a preschool teacher since she was a child herself. In her spare time, Mrs. Sofie enjoys hiking, nature walks and spending time with her family.


Miss Ann Colasuonno


Miss Anna Colasuonno is working towards a Master of Arts in Teaching degree and teacher certification in Teacher of Students with Disabilities at Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. Previously, Miss Colasuonno worked as an aide for Aquinas Academy Preschool.

Throughout her coursework and training, Miss Colasuonno has been employed as a substitute teacher for Hanover Township Public Schools and as camp counselor for Parsippany Recreation Department. She has worked with children of preschool, elementary, and middle school ages.  

In her free time, Miss Colasuonno likes to visit the beach and spend time with her friends and family. She has also worked for Aquinas Academy Preschool’s aftercare program. 


Mrs. Patricia Donoghue

Mrs. Patricia Donoghue is a graduate of Montclair State University in Upper Montclair, New Jersey. She recently completed the Post-Baccalaureate Teaching Certification Program at Caldwell University where she earned her New Jersey teaching certificate.

Throughout the past year, Mrs. Donoghue has been employed as a substitute teacher in both the West Orange and Verona school districts. She has worked closely with preschool and elementary school children.  She has also assisted with the Aquinas Academy summer camp program.

In her free time, Mrs. Donoghue enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She also volunteers in her local parish and parochial school.
